back to the PHILOSOPHY CAFE!
"The unexamined life is not worth
living" said Socrates, the father of Greek moral
philosophy. Have you ever bothered to examine your life
and the issues affecting it? If you have, what kind
of conclusions have you come to? And
what kind of premises are your conclusions based on?
If you are interested in finding out, please come along
to the Philosophy Cafe where we will be discussing logic,
ethics, political philosophy and metaphysics, among
other things. |
Philosophy classes, cafe style, were introduced
in March 2005. The classes were offered free of charge to
our members and took place at a restaurant/cafe in the heart of Melbourne.
The philosophy café has started again!
Dr Vitkos has kindly agreed to return to FFTN in 2008 and has resumed the philosophy café discussions. They take place on the first Wednesday of the month at Birdie Num Nums, 745 Nicholson St. Carlton, 6.30-8.30pm.
